The original Supreme Commander was in every way a hardcore title. Teching up between Tiers, properly assigning engineers to assist duties to negate 20 minute build times, and figuring out how the complex economy worked could easily encompass hours of your time. It seems with Supreme Commander 2, Gas Powered Games wants to lower the barrier for entry by simplifying the upgrade process and speeding up build times and the overall pace of gameplay.
